LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The USL regular season game between Louisville City FC and FC Cincinnati was abandoned on Saturday night at Slugger Field as heavy rain and lightning saw the teams leave the field in the 38th minute with FC Cincinnati holding a 1-0 lead.

Corben Bone had scored the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute for the visitors off an assist by Emmanuel Ledesma – his 12th of the season, which tied the USL single-season record jointly held by Chris Wehan (Reno 1868 FC, 2017) and Matthew Dallman (Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, 2013) – but 15 minutes later a lightning strike in the vicinity of Slugger Field saw the teams removed from the field for a delay, and the heavy rain that had persisted since prior to kickoff made conditions unplayable.

A rescheduled date for the game will be announced in the coming days, with the game set to resume in the 38th minute in its current game state.
