Originally founded in 1986, the United Soccer League has become one of the most sophisticated soccer organizations in North America over the past decade.
The USL Championship is one of the most successful professional soccer leagues in the world, reaching a population of more than 84 million and fueling the growth of the game across North America. In 2018, The Championship had the biggest season in its history, with almost 3 million fans attending games over the league’s regular season and postseason.
|USL Super League
Built for the future of women’s soccer, the USL Super League has committed to U.S. Soccer’s Division One standards, reflecting its collective vision to be a global leader on and off the field while providing more opportunities for more women in more communities. The inaugural 2024 season will feature 10-12 teams with additional teams set to join in subsequent seasons.
|USL League One
USL League One is shaping the future of the game in the United States, uniting passionate fans in new markets with the thrill of a proven professional soccer experience. After being announced in 2017 as the USL’s third division, USL League One made its debut in Spring 2019 with 10 teams competing in a 28-game regular season.
|USL League Two
The elite pre-professional tier in North American soccer, USL League Two (formerly the PDL) features over 60 franchises in four conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada. League Two has proven to be a vital stepping-stone for top professionals now playing throughout the world, with over 70 percent of all selections in the MLS SuperDraft since 2010 having PDL experience.

The USL W League is a pre-professional women’s soccer league. The USL W League strives to use women’s soccer as a force for societal good by creating a national platform to increase opportunity, gender equity, and career development. The League and its member clubs are committed to investing in women’s soccer – through not only financial resources but also with time, energy, and attention – and are united in our mission to grow the women’s game.
The United Soccer League officially unveiled its vision for the future of the league’s Academy system, featuring USL Academy Cup, a new competition that is paired with the organization’s Academy League.
Evolving from the historic Super Y League, USL Youth provides alignment between the USL’s youth initiatives and the full USL ecosystem’s youth-to-pro pathway. It focuses on building and engaging a vibrant youth soccer community through events, content, and experiences, providing an integral step in the soccer journey of players, coaches, clubs, and families.
