CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Battery announced on Friday the club had re-signed midfielder Dante Marini for the remainder of the 2018 season. Marini will be available for the Battery’s game this Saturday night against ATL UTD 2 at MUSC Health Stadium (7 p.m. ET | Match Center | ESPN+).

Marini will enter his fifth season with the Battery, having made 89 appearances for the club over his career. The Chadds Ford native scored two goals and tallied two assists in 17 matches for the Battery in 2017 before being sidelined with an ACL injury midway through the season.

Prior to joining the Battery, Marini played four years at Northeastern University where he scored 14 goals, registered 17 assists, and collected multiple all-conference awards. While in college, Marini spent a summer with the Premier Development League’s Reading United AC, where he scored five goals in 19 appearances.
