FENTON, Mo. – Saint Louis FC claims the second meeting of the season against the defending Western Conference champions Swope Park Rangers, earning a 2-0 victory at Toyota Stadium – Saint Louis on Saturday evening. Joey Calistri and Corey Hertzog each scored their second goal of the season to lead the home side to its fourth win of the campaign. Albert Dikwa, who caused problems all night long for the Rangers, went to the ground just inside the penalty area in the 25th minute, and center official Michael Radchuk pointed to the spot. Corey Hertzog confidently stepped up and finished moments later. That goal proved to be the game-winning tally, and the home side had several great opportunities throughout the match to add to the score line. Hertzog had a shot careen off the left post and back into play in the 65th minute, while Dikwa missed on an open-net opportunity moments earlier. However, Calistri finally found the back of the net in the 77th minute, hitting a right-footed blast by Rangers goalkeeper Adrián Zendejas. With the result, Saint Louis improves to 4-4-5 on the year, while the Rangers fall to 5-3-4 this campaign.
