PITTSBURGH (May 18, 2018) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (4-0-4) returns to league action tomorrow night, heading south to face the Tampa Bay Rowdies (4-5-0) at 7:30 p.m. at Al Lang Stadium.

In the midst of their best start in club history, the Hounds are coming off advancing to the Third Round of Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play after defeating Erie Commodores FC on Wednesday. This will be the first meeting between the Hounds and Rowdies this season – the clubs split the season series last year with both teams winning their home draws.

Saturday’s contest continues a busy stretch for the Hounds that will see them play at least twice for each of the next three weeks. Competition will be stiff as well, as three of their next four games, including Open Cup, will feature clubs currently in playoff position in the East table – TBR (7th), CIN (1st), NSH (8th).

The Rowdies have scuffled considerably as of late, losing their past four matches, including most recently to the NPSL’s Jacksonville Armada FC in the Second Round of the Open Cup. All four losses coming on the road, the Rowdies are a completely different team in the confines of Al Lang. Since joining the USL prior to last season, the Rowdies are 13-5-1 at home in the regular season, including 3-0 this year and having yet to allow a goal.

Fans hoping to catch the action can watch live locally on Pittsburgh’s CW or stream the match on ESPN+, as well as follow along with up-to-the-minute stats on USL Match Center. In addition, the Hounds will be hosting a Watch Party at Smokin’ Joe’s Saloon in South Side for fans of age with drink and food specials including a free round of Hounds Ale after every Hounds goal and 45-cent wings. Festivities kick off at 6 p.m.
