TAMPA, Fla. – Saint Louis FC goalkeeper Devala Gorrick has earned the USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Week for Week 27 of the 2017 season as his diving stop late on against FC Cincinnati last Saturday night at Toyota Stadium – Saint Louis finished top of the weekly online poll.

With his side trying to defend a one-goal lead late in the contest under sustained pressure from its visitors, Gorrick pulled off a remarkable stop as he went at full stretch to turn aside FCC midfielder Jimmy McLaughlin’s curling shot from the left side of the penalty area that was pegged for the right corner of the net.

Gorrick claimed 45 percent of the poll conducted online at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Thursday morning. Tulsa Roughnecks FC goalkeeper Fabian Cerda finished in second with 39 percent for reflex stop to deny the LA Galaxy II’s Jonah Estrada at ONEOK Field on Saturday night, and the Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Matt Pickens finished third with 16 percent for his victory-preserving denial of the Charlotte Independence’s Enzo Martinez last Saturday night.
