CINCINNATI, OH ---Head Coach Alan Koch has made an addition to the FC Cincinnati technical staff with the hiring of former Montreal Impact U18 head coach, Yoann Damet.

“We are incredibly excited about adding Yoann to our coaching staff,” said Koch. “His development through the Montreal Impact coaching ranks has been very impressive. He is a very knowledgeable young coach that has an excellent understanding of the technical and tactical elements of the game. He will be an invaluable asset to our group as we progress through the 2017 season. We look forward to welcoming him to FCC and the Cincinnati community.”

Damet spent three years with the Impact and was named the club’s U.S. Soccer Development Academy U-18 head coach last December. He joined Montreal Impact in 2014, managing duties as the U12 head coach, assisting with the U16 and U18 squads and serving as a fitness coach.

Prior to his stint in Montreal, Damet spent the majority of his coaching career in France. From 2013-14 he was the U11 head coach and coordinator as well as an assistant coach with the U15 Inter-Ligues teams of Dijon FCO.

He spent a season with District Jura (Lons-Le-Saunier, France) as the U14 manager for the district tournament and provided technical support for the regional selection of Franche-Conte 1999 generation.

Damet also had a two-year stint with Jura Sud Foot (Saint-Claude) as the head coach for both the U17 and U15 teams and spent five years with Beaune FC (Beaune), working with the U13 side.

Damet will receive his “A License” from the Canadian Soccer Association this year, holds a UEFA A coaching license as well as a degree in sports training with a concentration in soccer from the Université de Bourgogne in France.
