City Islanders, Steel enter needing victory as both chase eighth-place Orlando

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Harrisburg City Islanders play host to Bethlehem Steel FC on Tuesday night at FNB Field with both Pennsylvania rivals looking to close the gap to eighth-place Orlando City B to three points with a victory. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Harrisburg City Islanders news and notes

  • Current record: 7-14-5, 26pts
  • Harrisburg claimed the Keystone Derby Cup on Saturday with a 1-1 draw against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at FNB Field.
  • Craig Foster gave the City Islanders the lead against their in-state rival with 25 minutes to go, but Sergio Campbell denied Harrisburg all three points with an equalizer five minutes later.
  • The City Islanders have a maximum total of 38 points available with four games remaining. With eighth-place Orlando sitting on 32 points with five games to play, a win on Tuesday night is vital to Harrisburg’s playoff hopes.

  • The Steel will likely be without forward Cory Burke, who was named in Jamaica’s World Cup Qualifying squad last week.
  • Tuesday night’s game is Bethlehem’s penultimate road game of the season, with three of the team’s final four games on home turf.
