Quick turnaround sees both teams looking to rebound from road defeats

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Harrisburg City Islanders and FC Montreal meet on Tuesday night at FNB Field both looking for a quick rebound after defeats on the road this past Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Harrisburg City Islanders news and notes

  • Current record: 4-9-1, 13 points
  • Harrisburg dropped further back in the race for the Eastern Conference playoffs on Saturday night as a late penalty kick saw the Charleston Battery take a 1-0 win at MUSC Health Stadium.
  • The loss was Harrisburg’s fourth in a row, and now leaves the side five points back of the eighth and final playoff position currently held by Orlando City B.
  • The City Islanders have gone 1-2-1 at FNB Field this season, with their lone victory coming against Orlando on April 25.
  • Harrisburg did take victory in its most recent two home games, however, both played at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pa.

FC Montreal news and notes

  • Current record: 1-11-1, 4 points
  • Montreal was edged out on Saturday night by the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, leaving the side five points adrift at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.
  • After Pittsburgh took the lead through Kevin Kerr, Montreal found an equalizer from Anthony Jackson-Hamel, only for the Riverhounds to regain the lead within a minute with what proved the game-winner.
  • Jackson-Hamel has scored in each of Montreal’s past two games, also finding the net in a 1-1 draw with Toronto last Wednesday at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
  • Montreal has been outshot 76-35 in shots on goal by its opponents this season.
