CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy II captain Jack McBean tallied three times to lead his side to a 3-2 victory against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Wednesday at the newly renovated StubHub Center’s Track & Field Stadium. LA (4-0-4, 16 points) maintains its first-place stance in the Western Conference as second-place Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 won its match 3-2 against Tulsa Roughnecks FC earlier Wednesday night. Colorado Springs, which made a game of things with back-to-back goals from Saeed Robinson and Mike Seth, drops to 3-2-0 (9 points) on the season.

Scoring:
32’ – LA – Jack McBean (PK)
47’ – LA – Jack McBean (Ariel Lassiter)
71’ – LA – Jack McBean (Raul Mendiola)
77’ – COS – Saeed Robinson (Mike Seth)
90’+ – COS – Mike Seth

Three Things That Mattered:

  • 1. Jack McBean took over the USL goal-scoring lead. He now has nine goals, two ahead of his former Los Dos teammate Chandler Hoffman of Louisville City FC. McBean has also set a career high in this department. McBean’s previous USL goal totals were five in 2014 and six in 2015. He is the 24th player to score 20 or more career goals in the USL.

  • 2. The Galaxy II’s string of draws at home finally came to a close. Los Dos posted three consecutive home draws from April 8-22.

  • 3. LA leads the USL with 17 goals this season. Wednesday marked the third time Los Dos tallied three goals, and they have six multi-goal games this year. The offense has yet to be shut out in 2016.
