CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati announced on Tuesday morning the club had surpassed 10,000 tickets sold for its inaugural home opener this Saturday at Nippert Stadium.
Owned by Carl Lindner III – the former owner of the Cincinnati Reds – the club previously announced it had surpassed its goal of 4,000 season-ticket holders for the club’s inaugural season in the USL. The team will be guests of the Reds this Thursday, with captain Austin Berry set to throw out the first pitch ahead of Cincinnati’s game with the Arizona Diamondbacks at the Great American Ball Park.
Coming off its first win in club history against Bethlehem Steel FC this past Sunday, anticipation is building as Coach John Harkes’ side prepares to make its home debut.
