CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy II have acquired defender Jeffrey Payeras on a season-long loan from Guatemalan side C.S.D. Municipal. The 22-year-old will be available for Los Dos’ contest on Wednesday night against Saint Louis FC.

Payeras is a former member of the LA Galaxy Academy and was born in Hawthorne, Calif. After his time with the Academy, Payeras was signed by Municipal in January 2013 to a five-year deal. Last season, Payeras spent most of the year on loan in the USL with Orange County Blues FC where he appeared in nine games, starting all of them. 2016, the fourth year of his deal with Municipal, will be spent in Los Angeles.

Internationally, Payeras has collected two caps for the U.S. U-20s in 2013. Payeras has also spent time training with Guatemala’s U-23s, as both his parents were born in the country.
