TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer League and SELECT Sport officially unveil the 2024 match balls, the Brillant Super USL v24, with one unified design for the USL Championship, League One, League Two, W League and Academy.  

The bold new red, white and blue design creates a unified look for USL leagues across the ecosystem. The young player’s journey and development through the ranks of amateur, pre professional, and professional soccer inspired the new cohesive design. Consistency and commitment to quality are as fundamental to developing a soccer player as they are to producing a match ball worthy of the USL, its athletes, and its fans. 

The Brillant Super USL v24 is Select Sport America’s first professional match ball to be made from partly recycled materials. The equivalent of two 0.5 liter plastic bottles are utilized per ball. The 2024 balls supplied to Championship, League One, League Two, W League and Academy teams will help Select utilize the equivalent of 11,500 recycled plastic bottles. 

First used during the 2023 USL Summer Showcase in Colorado Springs, the Brillant Super USL v24 is a continuation of SELECT’s history of innovation and commitment to working on sustainable initiatives. The 2024 match ball material and construction will share the same materials and construction as the balls used by the German Bundesliga in their current season.  

As the Official Soccer Ball of the USL, SELECT will provide the game balls for the 2024 season and feature specialty designs for USL events including the League One Cup, 2024 Summer Showcase and league finals. SELECT will also serve as the presenting sponsor of USL’s “Saves of the Week” segment during the Championship and League One seasons.
