Instinctive stops took the spotlight as the playoff race began to heat up, who gets your vote?

Some impressive reflexes were on display as we reached the three-quarter mark of the USL Championship’s 2023 regular season over the past week, including some clutch stops that helped preserve important results in the battle for playoff positioning. Here are the stops we’ve selected as nominees for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week, and it’s up to you to vote for the winner here on the web, on the league social media feeds, and in the USL App.

Voting runs through Friday, August 25 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 24

Connor Sparrow (TBR) - #TULvTBR, 8/18/23: Sparrow made a crucial early stop to tip over a headed finish by FC Tulsa’s Patrick Seagrist before it found the roof of the net at ONEOK Field to help the visitors earn victory.

Adrian Zendejas (MIA) - #HFDvMIA, 8/19/23: Zendejas made an outstanding save to keep out a powerful strike from 20 yards by Hartford Athletic’s Conor McGlynn that was headed to the top-right corner of the net at Trinity Health Stadium.

Alex Tambakis (NM) - #SDvNM, 8/19/23: The Greek shot-stopper made a solid initial save to keep out SD Loyal’s Collin Martin and then recovered for a sharp reflex stop on Charlie Adams’ redirection in front at Torero Stadium.

Joe Kuzminsky (COS) - #OAKvCOS, 8/19/23: Kuzminsky preserved a big road victory late for the Switchbacks as he got down to save from Oakland’s Emrah Klimenta without giving up a rebound at Pioneer Stadium.
