Technique, placement, and power highlight this week’s nominees, which gets your vote?

This past week in the USL Championship, we’ve seen some outstanding goals that provided the perfect combination of placement, technique and power to light up the highlight reel. Here are the four tallies we’ve picked out as nominees for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week, make sure to cast your vote for your favorite nominee across multiple platforms, including through the official USL App.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week – Week 23

Milo Yosef (TUL) - #COSvTUL, 8/9/23: The German cut back onto his right foot in the left side of the penalty area and curled a pin-point finish from a narrow angle that caromed off the inside of the far post and in during the USL Summer Showcase presented by Hisense.

Jonas Fjeldberg (COS) - #COSvTUL, 8/9/23: The Swedish forward’s first goal for the Switchbacks was volleyed home sweetly from the left side of the penalty area off a cross from Maalique Foster at Weidner Field.

Dylan Mares (LOU) - #LOUvRGV, 8/12/23: Mares provided a brilliant first-time finish to curl his shot into the left corner from the right side of the penalty area after good work by Manny Perez to set up the opportunity at Lynn Family Stadium.

Rida Zouhir (SA) - #NMvSA, 8/12/23: SAFC’s fastest goal so far this season came via a thunderous volley by the 19-year-old as he picked out the top-right corner of the net after just 108 seconds against New Mexico United.
