ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Saint Louis FC announced the signing of forward Kyle Greig for the 2018 season, pending USL and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.

Greig was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and played at Benedictine College during the 2008-2012 seasons.  He made 74 appearances and scored 43 goals during his collegiate career and also played for the Kansas City Brass in the USL PDL where he made 41 appearances and scored 10 goals.  Greig signed his first professional contract with the Wilmington Hammerheads in 2013 and made 26 appearances with six goals scored during the USL campaign.  He moved to OKC Energy FC and played in 51 games with 16 goals scored during the 2014-2015 seasons before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps organization.  Greig would make 27 appearances and score 11 goals for Whitecaps FC 2 during the 2016 season to earn a spot on the Vancouver Whitecaps senior-team for the 2017 MLS season.  He was then loaned to FC Cincinnati in July 2017 and made 12 appearances with one goal throughout the remainder of the USL season.

“I’m really pleased with the addition of Kyle,” said Anthony Pulis, STLFC Head Coach. “He’s a player with a lot of experience at the USL and MLS level and is a different type of forward than the other ones on the roster with his big, physical presence leading the line.  It gives the forwards more competition but also he’s a fantastic person with great morals that should add value to the group.”

"I'm ecstatic to join STLFC for the upcoming season and thank the club and coaching staff for the opportunity,” said Greig. “After speaking with Anthony, I've seen the club has very high ambitions for this season and beyond and I'm excited to be a part of that future. I would also like to thank my wife and family for their unwavering support."
