Former NASL Golden Boot Winner Joins Richmond in 2018

RICHMOND, VA – (Thursday, January 11, 2018) – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce that forward Brian Shriver has signed for the 2018 season, pending USL and USSF approval.
 
A former NASL Golden Boot winner and NASL Best XI honoree, Shriver joins the Kickers after making 11 appearances with the Jacksonville Armada following a midseason trade in 2017.  Previously, the prolific goal scorer spent three seasons with North Carolina FC (2012-2013, 2016), leading the club and the league with 15 goals, split by a two-year stint with the Tampa Bay Rowdies (2014-2015).  Drafted by Major League Soccer side FC Dallas in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft, Shriver began his professional career with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers where he tallied 10 goals in 49 appearances over three seasons.
 
A native of Clearwater, Florida, Shriver attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill from 2005 until 2008, contributing eight goals and six assists.
 
Shriver joins 14 players currently under contract including Matt Bolduc, Heviel Cordovés, Marcel DeBellis, Raul Gonzalez, Yudai Imura, Alex Lee, Luiz Fernando, Fred Owusu Sekyere, Mallan Roberts, Conor Shanosky, Braeden Troyer, Oscar Umar, Finnlay Wyatt, and Austin Yearwood.
