PHOENIX (December 6, 2017) — Phoenix Rising FC announced today it has re-signed midfielder Amadou Dia for the 2018 season. After joining the team mid-season in 2017, Dia wasted little time becoming a regular, starting in 20 of his 22 appearances.
“The atmosphere and chemistry from the fans to the owners was unbelievable last year,” Dia said. “I can’t wait to see what happens this year.”

Dia officially signed with the club on June 9th and made his club debut on June 10th against Whitecaps FC 2. In his debut, Dia provided the assist for Didier Drogba’s first goal of 2017. Dia tallied three assists for the season in addition to two goals. In week 12 of the season, Dia was named to the USL Team of the Week.
