Rhinos, TFC II square off for second time this season

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester Rhinos will look to solidify their place in the USL Eastern Conference playoff positions on Wednesday night when they play host to Toronto FC II at Capelli Sport Stadium for the second meeting between the clubs this season. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m. ET.

Rochester Rhinos news and notes

  • Current record: 6-3-8, 26pts

  • The Rhinos recorded a 0-0 draw on Saturday evening against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds as their undefeated streak reached four games.

  • Rochester has drawn three of its four contests during that streak, which has placed the side seventh in the USL Eastern Conference.

  • Tomas Gomez recorded his eighth shutout of the season against the Riverhounds, and now leads the league in that category.

  • Gomez currently holds a 0.60 goals-against average for the season as he vies for a second consecutive USL Golden Glove.

Toronto FC II news and notes

  • Toronto fell 1-0 last Friday night to the New York Red Bulls II in its first game of a three-game road trip.
