COLUMBIA, SC (June 6, 2017) – Nashville SC featured 5 new starters in their lineup, managed to remain undefeated on the season, and gained a point on the road against a quality SC United FC team.

The first half started well for Nashville SC U23 and they created some great scoring opportunities.  All of the news starters settled into the game extremely well.  Martim Galvão and Blake Wilson paired up well and were a handful for SC United FC to guard.  Before the end of the half the visiting NSC U23 team saw two scoring opportunities cleared off the line.

SC United FC was the better side to start the second half and eventually found goal in the 70th minute.  Coach Roelke made some tactical changes looking to pull even.  Tennessee's own Shak Adams answered that call when he dribbled through 4 SC United FC defenders at the top of the box and scored in the 83rd minute.  The result held through the final whistle and was good enough to keep division leading Nashville SC U23 undefeated and earn a tough point on the road.

Nashville SC U23  faces another big challenge as it plays back to back matches against Tormenta FC in Savannah, GA on Thursday, June 8 and Saturday June 10  at 7pm CT.  Follow Nashville SC social media handles for information about the availability of a live stream.
