Show to feature different Nashville SC front office, coaching and team personnel

NASHVILLE (May 10, 2017) – Nashville SC has announced a partnership with ESPN 94.9 Game 2 for a Saturday morning show beginning May 13. The show will be co-hosted by Julian Council, executive producer for 102.5 The Game and feature different Nashville SC front office and coaching personnel each week. The partnership also includes a live-on-location broadcast of a Nashville SC U23 amateur game, whose date is to be determined.

The hour-long show, to be named Nashville Soccer Insiders, will air at 8 a.m. every Saturday from May 13 through July 22, for a total of 11 shows, and will focus on Nashville SC and the biggest events and news going on in the soccer world. The show will also cover the Nashville SC U23 amateur team season, which began last Saturday and runs through July 12, and the exciting things fans can expect between now and the spring of 2018 when the Nashville SC professional team begins play in the USL.

“This show will allow Nashville SC to engage our fans directly and help bring more people to the sport,” said James Cannon, vice president of marketing and communications for Nashville SC. “This summer is filled with soccer events in Music City, so having a platform to speak about everything going on with our club, the city and the sport is fantastic. 102.5 The Game and 94.9 Game 2 have been great supporters of NSC from day one, and we look forward to making this show a success.”

"As Nashville is becoming a destination for soccer, ESPN 94.9 Game 2 is proud to be the platform from which it launches," said Jana Hampton, general manager of Cromwell Radio's Nashville stations. "It's obvious soccer has a growing fan base in this town.  Having a partnership with Nashville SC helps us deliver on our promise of being Nashville's Best Sports Talk to all fans."

This announcement comes just a month after the USL announced an expanded partnership with ESPN expanding coverage that will see more games aired on the ESPN network.
