Fury FC, Rowdies meet for second time both looking to build off wins

OTTAWA – Ottawa Fury FC and the Tampa Bay Rowdies met for the second time this season on Saturday afternoon at TD Place, and both teams are looking to build off victories in their last outings after the Rowdies claimed victory in the first contest of the season. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.

Ottawa Fury FC news and notes

  • Ottawa claimed a 1-0 victory against FC Edmonton on Wednesday night at TD Place in the first leg of the Preliminary Round in the 2017 Canadian Championship.

  • Ryan Williams scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute for Fury FC, giving Ottawa the edge in the series as it shifts to Edmonton next Wednesday night.

  • Fury FC has claimed back-to-back draws in USL action over the past two weekends, including a 2-2 draw on the road against the Charleston Battery last Saturday night.
