Louisville City FC news and notes

• Louisville will look to claim its third consecutive victory after earning a 1-0 win against the Richmond Kickers last Saturday evening at City Stadium.

• George Davis IV scored the only goal of the game for his second of the season, the second consecutive game in which he scored for City against his former club.

• Louisville will debut its new black third uniforms on Saturday, and have made the game a “blackout” in the stands with fans set to wear black clothing for the contest.

• Louisville City FC announced on Wednesday it had undertaken an option on tracts of land in the city’s Butchertown Neighborhood, where the club plans to transform 40 acres into a 10,000-seat, soccer-specific stadium and adjacent development including space for offices, hotels and retail.

Tampa Bay Rowdies news and notes

• Tampa Bay completed a perfect three-game home stand to start the season last Saturday at Al Lang Stadium with a 1-0 win against Ottawa Fury FC.

• Georgi Hristov scored the only goal of the game early in the second half, his third in as many games to start the season to put him tie for the league-lead.

• The Rowdies are the lone side in the USL that has yet to concede a goal, with goalkeeper Akira Fitzgerald having recorded five saves in three shutouts.

• Rowdies fullback Luke Boden is currently eighth in the USL with 208 attempted passes, an average of 69 per game.
