Zanga, Engola join professional ranks with Los Dos

LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy II announced on Friday the club had signed midfielder Andre Ulrich Zanga and defender Jean Jospin Engola, two 19-year-old products from the Kadji Sports Academy in Cameroon, ahead of the 2017 USL Regular Season, pending receipt of their ITC and P-1 Visa as well as league and federation approval.

“We’re really excited to bring some international talent into our team, especially two players like Jean and Andre,” said LA Galaxy II Head Coach Mike Muñoz. “They have a lot of potential and we’re looking forward to their growth within our system.”

Engola and Zanga each sign their first professional soccer contracts with the Galaxy II after spending time at Kadji Sports Academy in Békoko, Douala in Cameroon. Kadji is the home of former Barcelona and Inter Milan forward Samuel Eto’o.

The Galaxy II open the 2017 USL Regular Season at home on Saturday, March 25 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, presented by Bare Republic (2 p.m. PT, StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium).
