BAYAMON, Puerto Rico – OKC Energy FC goalkeeper Cody Laurendi has earned his first call-up to the Puerto Rico National Team as the country confirmed its final roster for this week’s final stage of 2017 Caribbean Cup Qualifying against Antigua & Barbuda and Curacao. The team that finishes top of the three-team group will also earn automatic qualification to the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Also named to the squad were Sacramento Republic FC’s Jeremy Hall and San Antonio FC’s Manolo Sanchez, both of whom have previously represented the country in the qualifying campaign.

Laurendi has had a standout season for Energy FC, recording a club-record 12 shutouts on his way to a 0.92 goals-against average and .769 save percentage. The call-up means Laurendi will be unavailable for Energy FC’s Western Conference Semifinal this Saturday against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2.

Hall returns to the squad having made four prior appearances for Puerto Rico. Acquired midseason by Sacramento, Hall played a key role in helping the club finish top of the Western Conference, making 10 appearances and logging 810 minutes of action for the side.

Sanchez was one of San Antonio’s early signing ahead of the club’s inaugural season in the USL, and has one goal in four appearances for Puerto Rico. Sanchez had one goal in 16 appearances for SAFC this season.

Puerto Rico will visit Antigua & Barbuda on Saturday, Oct. 8 to open group play, and will then play host to Curacao on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Estadio Juan Ramon Loubriel. Antigua & Barbuda and Curacao open group play on Wednesday, Oct. 5 in Curacao.
