The LA Galaxy’s Jack McBean and Toronto FC’s Jordan Hamilton have been familiar faces to USL fans for the past three seasons, but on Monday the young MLS standouts squared off in a different type of contest.

To coincide with the launch of EA Sports’ FIFA 17, the video game giant teamed with MLSSoccer.com to have players compete in the type of skills challenges that can be found within the game.

A standout for the LA Galaxy II since the club’s inaugural season, McBean scored 26 goals for Los Dos since 2014, including a career-high 15 this season, as well as adding 13 assists in that span. McBean’s performance led to him being signed to a Homegrown Player contract this past June as he earned his return to the Galaxy’s MLS squad.

Hamilton, meanwhile, began his USL career on loan with Wilmington Hammerheads FC, before turning out for Toronto FC II in each of the past two seasons. Hamilton has eight goals and two assists in the USL, and this season has three goals and one assist in 13 appearances for Toronto FC in MLS.
