RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC unveiled its official crest during a special ceremony on Wednesday night during halftime of the first soccer game in Greater Nevada Field’s history as USL club Sacramento Republic FC faced Liverpool FC U21s.
The crest, created by Brandiose, combines Reno 1868 FC’s official colors – Nevada Cobalt Blue, light gold and silver grey – with the iconic Truckee River and Sierra Nevada mountains taking precedence over the traditional outlook of Reno as a gambling hub.
“We are extremely excited to continue to unveil our club’s identity based on what our fans have told us they want to see,” said Reno 1868 FC president Eric Edelstein. “This crest will truly resonate with not only our growing fan base, but the entire community as well.”
The crest unveiling comes fresh off the announcement of a two-year partnership between Reno 1868 FC and adidas that was announced on Monday. adidas will be the primary brand of merchandise available to Reno 1868 FC fans in the official team shop at Greater Nevada Field, along with being 1868 FC’s official kit provider.
