SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC announced on Wednesday afternoon it was nearing a sellout of more than 8,000 fans for the club’s inaugural home opener on Saturday night against the Swope Park Rangers at Toyota Field, with only general admission and standing-room only tickets left available for the contest.

Single-game tickets have been available for just under a month through the club, which also recently announced a television partnership with FOX Sports Southwest that will feature six SAFC home games this summer.

Coming off a 3-0 victory against Seattle Sounders FC 2 in its first contest in the USL last Sunday that saw a good contingent of traveling support at Starfire Stadium, Saturday night’s home opener now appears set to be a big occasion as the club looks to build its profile on the national stage.
