SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sacramento Republic FC announced on Thursday partnerships with local television station CW31 and Sports 1140 KHTK to broadcast several of the club’s home matches.

“As a club, we made a commitment to our fans and the community that we’d be leaders in the region, league and sport; a commitment that wouldn’t be possible without partnerships that include CW31, CBS13 and Sports 1140 KHTK,” said Vice President of Marketing and Communications Erika Bjork. “We look forward to another season with CW31, Sports 1140AM and Franklin Pictures as they serve as our storytellers for the beautiful game and our indomitable city.”

Eight matches will be televised live on CW31, including both of Republic FC’s matches versus LA Galaxy II, as well as their Home Opener against Arizona United SC on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. PT. Eleven matches will be aired live on radio via Sports 1140 KHTK.

Matches televised by CW31 will feature the duo of Rob McAllister and Kevin Goldthwaite, who will return to the booth for their third season with the club. Good Day Sacramento anchor Julissa Ortiz will resume duties as sideline reporter to round out the television broadcast team.

“We are thrilled to be the television broadcast home of Sacramento Republic FC,” said Kevin Walsh, General Manager CW31 and sister station CBS13.  “Our broadcasts give the team’s passionate fans a place to see the game during sellouts and lets casual fans see what all the excitement in our community is about.”

Franklin Pictures will produce the television broadcasts, led by Executive Producer Rusty Prevatt. Franklin Pictures produced the 2014 USL Championship match broadcast that won an Emmy for best sports broadcast in Northern California. The televised matches will be available in Spanish using SAP.

Eleven matches will be aired live on radio via Sports 1140 KHTK.  Matches on Sports 1140 KHTK include matchups between Republic FC versus LA Galaxy II, Saint Louis FC and newcomers San Antonio FC. Republic FC’s 2016 U.S. Open Cup home matches will also be aired (dates to be announced). The radio broadcasts will have the team of Jason Lockhart and Carmichael Dave calling the action, returning for their third season.
