As Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC readies for a historic night in Pittsburgh soccer, the club has a lot planned for fans this Saturday night when it hosts the first-ever playoff game at Highmark Stadium, taking on Bethlehem Steel FC. Here is a guide to this weekend’s playoff showdown.

The Matchup

Kickoff set for 7 p.m. on Saturday at Highmark Stadium, the Hounds will take on in-state rival Bethlehem Steel FC in the 100th all-time match at Highmark Stadium. In the USL Eastern Conference, Pittsburgh holds the No. 3 seed whereas Bethlehem sits as the No. 6 seed.

In two prior meetings this season, Pittsburgh has a 2-0-0 record against Steel FC, winning 2-1 at Goodman Stadium and 4-1 in an earlier match at Highmark Stadium. All-time, the Black and Gold has never lost a home game to Bethlehem (3-0-0).

Gates Open

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, and fans can enjoy $1 beers leading up until 7 p.m. kickoff.

What to Wear

All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear gold, as the playoff match will be a Gold Out. In addition, all fans in attendance will receive a gold rally towel, presented by Allegheny Health Network, and the first 2,000 fans 21-years-and-older will obtain a gold t-shirt, presented by Heineken.

Tailgates

Fans can enjoy two tailgates prior to kickoff, both of which will be located in the West End parking lot.

Moe’s Southwest Grill will host a tailgate, offering a $15 package that includes not only before-game grub but also a ticket to Saturday’s postseason match. Purchase here.

In addition, Riverhounds SC owner Tuffy Shallenberger will be hosting a special barbecue pregame tailgate from 2-6 p.m. The menu can be found below.

Parking and Directions

Game-day parking is available for fans in the West End parking lot under the Fort Pitt Bridge. Also, parking is available in surrounding lots in Station Square. Lots will fill up early, so be sure to plan accordingly
