ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (June 21, 2018) — Riding a four-game unbeaten streak, the Rowdies will look to again move up the USL Eastern Conference table in a Friday matchup against Penn FC.

Following a 1-1 draw at home against Matt Pickens and Nashville SC, the Rowdies will have enjoyed nearly two weeks of rest by the time play kicks off on Friday night.

Penn FC, just like Tampa Bay, is riding an unbeaten streak of its own that includes two wins in its last three tilts. The Harrisburg-based squad played a high scoring 3-3 draw in their last outing against Louisville City FC.

The weekend's only matchup between playoff picture teams ought to be hard fought when the Battery and Riverhounds kickoff in Charleston on Saturday night.

While picking up points consistently, Charleston has had little success in terms of winning games. In fact, the Battery have been winless, despite picking up four points, since May 12.

On the other side, Pittsburgh has picked up two straight wins behind three goals from Neco Brett who is tied for the USL lead with eight scores on the season.

North Carolina FC vs. Louisville City FC

Over their last five games, North Carolina has proven to be the face of hot and cold play. With a 2-3-0 record over that span, North Carolina has dominated at times (they beat Atlanta United 2 by a 4-0 margin) and fell short at other points like when the squad lost 2-1 at home to Bethlehem Steel.

Lousiville City, however, has been a model of efficiency and consistency. As is common with teams who sit close to the top of the tables, Louisville City has rattled off a four-game point streak of their own. With three games in hand, Louisville is set up to chase down rival club FC Cincinnati who currently leads the Eastern Conference.
