TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Roughnecks FC announced on Tuesday the club has added 17-year-old forward Jesus Ferreira on loan from FC Dallas of Major League Soccer. Ferreira is expected to be available for Wednesday’s match with Reno 1868 FC at ONEOK Field.

Ferreira is the son of former FC Dallas midfielder David Ferreira, who was named the MLS Most Valuable Player following the 2010 season when he led Dallas to MLS Cup.

The younger Ferreira came up through the FC Dallas Academy system before being signed to a Homegrown Player contract last year. He appeared in one MLS regular season game in 2017, scoring a goal in a victory over Real Salt Lake.

Ferreira has been recovering from a sports hernia procedure that he underwent earlier this season. He would become the youngest player to ever appear in a match for the Roughnecks.
