Spectacular bicycle kick equalizer for Penn FC finishes top of fan poll

TAMPA, Fla. – Penn FC defender Ken Tribbett has claimed the USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week for Week 6 of the 2018 season after producing a spectacular bicycle-kick finish in the final minute that earned his side a draw with the Charleston Battery to take top spot in the weekly online poll.

A former USL Rookie of the Year finalist, Tribbett scored three goals in his first stint on City Island in 2015 before two seasons with the Philadelphia. Against the Battery he proved the man on the spot as a chipped cross toward the right side of the penalty area by Mauro Eustáquio set up perfectly for a bicycle kick that Tribbett buried in the corner of the net.

Tribbett’s goal earned 45 percent of the poll conducted online at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Thursday. Fresno FC’s Pedro Ribeiro took second place with 40 percent for his spectacular long-range blast against Tulsa Roughnecks FC, while the Portland Timbers 2’s Jeremy Ebobisse finished third with 10 percent for his sharp volleyed finish against Rio Grande Valley FC.
