A crowd of 6,027 at Al Lang Stadium saw Georgi Hristov tie a Rowdies' record with his 57th goal for the club

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A festive crowd of 6,027 fans were on hand for a piece of Tampa Bay Rowdies history in one of the weekend’s big games between two USL Cup contenders with Real Monarchs SLC the visitor to Al Lang Stadium. Georgi Hristov’s second-half goal was his 57th all-time for the club, tying original Rowdies legend Derek Smethurst for the Rowdies’ all-time record, and it helped pave the way to a 2-0 victory for the hosts that also saw former England international Joe Cole find the net.
