SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Austin Martz and Kyle Greig combined in the second minute to produce a dream start for visiting Saint Louis FC at Toyota Field on Saturday, but the dynamic duo of Mikey Lopez and Kris Tyrpak helped hosts San Antonio FC rally for a 2-1 win before a sellout crowd of 7,946. Less than two minutes in, Saint Louis quieted the San Antonio faithful as Martz provided the final ball in a procession of passes down the right wing, finding Greig whose glancing header gave the side its first lead of the young season. The advantage was short-lived however as in the 21st minute, a looping cross from Connor Presley found the head of Tyrpak, who redirected the ball across Jake Fenlason’s goal where Lopez was on the spot to finish with a header. Just under 15 minutes into the final period, it was Lopez who produced a cross from the right that found Tyrpak streaking towards the near post for the strike that sent SAFC to its first win of the year.
