PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC announced on Thursday it had signed Andrew Lubahn ahead of this Saturday’s season opener at Nashville SC. A former member of the San Francisco Deltas, Lubahn’s contract is for one-year with a club option for the 2019 season, pending league and federation approval.

Lubahn made four appearances for the Hounds this preseason after arriving at the club as a training camp trialist.

“Andrew is very capable in any of the wide positions – outside back or outside midfield – so for us, he’s a valuable signing who can contribute in a number of ways,” Riverhounds SC Head Coach Bob Lilley said. “He's a good attacking player going forward who also displays strong decision making.”

With San Francisco in 2017, Lubahn posted an assist in 15 games. He also brings USL experience, suiting up for Louisville City FC in 2016 and the Harrisburg City Islanders – now named Penn FC – in 2015. In total, the Erie, Pennsylvania native logged four goals and four assists across 35 appearances while in the USL.

Prior to beginning his professional career in Harrisburg, Lubahn was an All-Conference standout at Wake Forest University, finishing his career with 83 appearances, 27 goals and 11 assists. In addition, his youth career included time with the United States U14, U15, U18 and U20 National Teams, as well as being captain of the Columbus Crew U-17 team.
