After claiming the USL Western Conference Championship in his first professional season with the Swope Park Rangers it would have been easy for Adrian Zendejas to have a letdown in 2017, but the young goalkeeper was even stronger in his second year. Recording 10 shutouts in 25 appearances, the 22-year-old posted a goals-against average of 0.91 for the season as he became one of the USL's more highly-regarded goalkeepers.
Zendejas came to the fore in the USL Cup Playoffs, making crucial saves in two shootout wins, and even scoring the winning penalty in the Western Conference final to send the Rangers to the USL Cup Final. Here is a look at some of Zendejas’ best moments from 2017.
