RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC wanted its new new road kit for the 2018 season to reflect the local landscape that surrounds the city.

With its depiction of a picturesque mountain landscape, just like the Sierra Nevada mountain range that cradles Reno, the new uniforms were unveiled on Tuesday to rave reviews from players and fans alike.

“When we were looking at options for this year’s away kit, we really wanted to encompass the City of Reno and Northern Nevada into the look,” said 1868 FC General Manager Andy Smith. “Thanks to the options presented to us the past offseason, the kit we launched Tuesday checked all the boxes.

“It’s beautiful in design and comfort and our players already love it.”

The airy design features three cobalt blue bars that run along the shoulders, arms and down the sides of the jersey.  A reflective blue 1868 FC patch sits above the club’s official kit sponsor, Spine Nevada, to complete the new look.

Reno released the white and blue adidas kits in preparation for the 2018 USL season, which begins with a preseason exhibition at Greater Nevada Field on Saturday, March 3 at home against fellow USL club Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
