SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC announced on Friday it had re-signed Ryan Roushandel and Mike Seth for the 2018 USL season, pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Roushandel became a key piece for SAFC late in the 2017 season as the side finished second in the USL Western Conference as he appeared in 10 consecutive regular season contests and both the club’s games in the 2017 USL Cup Playoffs to end the season. Roushandel scored his first goal for the club on Oct. 11 against Portland Timbers 2 – a game-winner that clinched a home playoff game for SAFC. Overall, the 32-year-old has appeared in 15 USL matches for SAFC since joining prior to the 2016 season.

“I couldn’t be more excited and proud to continue to be a part of our city and our club,” said Roushandel. “This place has become very special to me and representing the club and city is something I take a lot of pride in as a player, coach and resident. I can’t wait to build off of last season and compete to bring a trophy to San Antonio.”

Seth joined SAFC midway through the 2017 USL season from Phoenix Rising FC and made six appearances with the Alamo City club, recording five shots and three key passes in 200 minutes. While with Phoenix, Seth played in four games, making two starts and recording four shots in 154 total minutes played while completing 64.5 percent of his passes. He also appeared in both of Phoenix’s Open Cup matches, scoring a goal against the Fresno Fuego in the second round of the tournament.

“I am looking forward to next season,” said Seth. “I am ready to get back to work with the team and work collectively to improve on our 2017 finish.”

Seth had a strong 2016 USL season with Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC as he scored eight goals and five assists to lead the side to a top-three finish in the Western Conference. The 30-year-old has made 121 USL appearances all-time, having played for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds prior to his time with the Switchbacks
