Los Dos welcomes Portland to close home season

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy II returns home to host the Portland Timbers 2 in their final home match of the regular season, with Portland looking to build off a victory in its last outing as it visits Los Dos at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.

LA Galaxy II news and notes

  • Current record: 7-18-5, 26pts

  • The Galaxy II fell 3-0 to OKC Energy FC last Sunday night at Taft Stadium to complete a tough three-game road trip through the Midwest.

  • After conceding a penalty in the 38th minute that was converted by Jose Angulo, Los Dos saw the Energy FC striker score twice more in the second half as the side's winless streak reached six games.

  • Los Dos have conceded three goals in each of their last two outings, and have not posted a shutout since a 1-0 victory against Rio Grande Valley FC on Sept. 3.

  • Galaxy II goalkeeper Eric Lopez was named in the U.S. U18 Men's National Team squad that headed to Spain this week for a training camp. The side is set to face Belgium and Russia during its stay.

Portland Timbers 2 news and notes

  • Current record: 3-20-6, 15pts

  • T2 claimed its third victory of the season with a 1-0 win against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 last Saturday afternoon at Macleod Athletic Park.

  • Victor Arboleda scored the game-winning goal in the 67th minute to give T2 the victory against its Cascadia rivals for the first time in three meetings this season.

  • Arboleda's goal was his team-leading fourth of the season. T2 has struggled to find the net over the course of 2017 with a chance-conversion rate of just 8.9 percent.

  • Portland midfielder Bill Tuiloma will be unavailable for Saturday's game after he was selected in the New Zealand squad that took on Japan on Friday in an international exhibition.
