Louisville City FC news and notes

  • Current record: 16-6-8, 56pts

  • Louisville played to a 0-0 draw with the Rochester Rhinos last Saturday night at Capelli Sport Stadium in its final road game of the season to complete a three-game trip to the Northeast.

  • The suffered a 1-0 loss to FC Cincinnati last Friday night at the Sportsplex at Matthews that saw the side's losing streak reach three games.

  • Charlotte had the chance to equalize in stoppage time from the penalty spot after a 75th-minute goal by Kevin Schindler had put FCC ahead, but Jorge Herrera's penalty kick was saved by Cincinnati goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt to allow the visitors to emerge with the victory.

  • The Independence fell to fourth place in the Eastern Conference going into this weekend after the Tampa Bay Rowdies took a 3-2 win against the New York Red Bulls II on Wednesday night to jump past them into second in the Eastern Conference.

  • Charlotte would claim a home playoff game for the first time in its history should it take victory on Saturday night, and see the Rochester Rhinos either lose or draw against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

Series Notes
