Phoenix looks to build on undefeated run in visit to Vancouver

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Phoenix Rising FC continues its trip the Pacific Northwest on Sunday afternoon as it visits Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at Thunderbird Stadium aiming to run its undefeated streak into double-digits. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. PT.

  • Current record: 5-15-8, 23pts

  • WFC2 fell late in its last outing as Orange County SC took a 2-1 victory at Thunderbird Stadium last Sunday night with a goal seven minutes from full time.

  • The defeat officially eliminated Vancouver from contention for the USL Cup Playoffs this season.

  • Marco Bustos scored WFC2’s goal against Orange County, with the young Canadian international now having recorded eight goals in 2017, a new individual single-season high.

  • Vancouver has gone only 3-6-4 on home turf this season, and has gone only 1-2-5 at Thunderbird Stadium.

  • Rising FC will have former Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba available for selection after he served a one-game suspension against S2 on Wednesday night.
