CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati announced on Thursday that it had sold 25,309 tickets to its home regular-season finale of the 2017 USL regular season against the New York Red Bulls II on Saturday, Sept. 16, surpassing its mark set earlier this season against Orlando City B on Aug. 5 that set a USL regular season single-game record.

Cincinnati has averaged more than 20,000 fans this season, and is the highest-drawing club in North America outside Major League Soccer. FCC currently sits in eighth place in the USL Eastern Conference standings as it battles to return to the USL Cup Playoffs for a second consecutive season.

“We continue to be overwhelmed by the support from our fans,” said FCC President and General Manager Jeff Berding. “The passion for FC Cincinnati soccer in our city is truly second to none and we would like to thank all our fans for their unending support.”

FCC could be on course to set the highest attendance in USL history, which it set in the 2016 USL Cup Playoffs when it hosted the Charleston Battery in front of 30,187 fans at Nippert Stadium in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
