TAMPA, Fla. – Orlando City B goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. has been voted the USL Player of the Month for August of the 2017 season. Edwards recorded three shutouts in five appearances, while recording a save percentage of 88.5 percent for the month as Orlando went undefeated to move into the playoff positions in the USL Eastern Conference.
Edwards received 42 percent of a weighted poll that included the USL Technical Committee, a national panel of independent media representing every USL market, and an online fan vote held at USLSoccer.com. Charlotte Independence forward Enzo Martinez and Louisville City FC forward Luke Spencer finished tied for second with 25 percent each.
