FRESNO, Calif. – 2018 USL expansion club Fresno FC announced on Tuesday the addition of three key front office staff, officially welcoming assistant general manager Jeremy Schultz, vice president of ticket sales & service Fred Matthes and director of marketing & communications Jordan Wiebe to the club in their respective roles. The trio will be looking to create a sustainable foundation organizationally in the club's inaugural year and build upon the vibrant Fresno soccer culture already in place under the leadership of General Manager Frank Yallop.

Schultz, 41 and a Madera native, previously served as the general manager of the Fresno Fuego, joining the PDL side in 2007. His responsibilities included club administration, corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, and operations among other tasks. Under Schultz's guidance, the Fuego consistently ranked in the top three in attendance nationally at PDL level and enjoyed success on the field, claiming four division titles (2007, 2011, 2013, 2016) and one regular season championship (2011) during his tenure. In his new position with Fresno FC, Schultz's primary task will be managing the club's corporate partnerships.

Matthes, a Virginia native, has over 23 years of experience in professional soccer, serving as the Senior Director of Ticket Sales, Operations & Customer Service for DC United of the MLS from 1995-2013 and, most recently, as the Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service for the USL's Sacramento Republic FC from 2013-2016. Matthes has a proven track record of establishing strong fan bases and ticketing platforms for clubs; he helped Sacramento to a then-record of 6,000 season tickets in their inaugural season as well as overall season attendance in 2014. Matthes played for UCLA between 1978-1983 under current LA Galaxy head coach Sigi Schmid.

Wiebe, 31, served as marketing director for the Fresno Fuego, filling the role at the start of the 2015 season. Wiebe helped to found Fuego supporters group Fire Squad Fresno before moving to a position with the PDL club. In that time, the Fuego season ticket holder base grew by 125 percent year-on-year and maintained its position at the top of the PDL nationally in attendance. An Arsenal fan, Wiebe founded Fresno Gooners in 2013, winning the Daily Mirror's Football Fan of the Year in 2015 for his We All Follow the Arsenal project.
