Three excellent stops from Week 23 battle for weekly honors

Some standout performances in net highlighted Week 23’s action in the 2017 USL regular season, with some outstanding saves rising to the top as the race for the USL Cup Playoffs continued to rise. Now it’s your turn to select the best of the three selected for this week’s USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Week award.

Voting will continue through 9 a.m. ET on Thursday, August 31.

USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 23

Callum Irving - #OTTvNY, 8/27/17: Irving made an outstanding save to deny Florian Valot’s deflected shot in the 90th minute, which allowed Fury FC to earn a point in a 2-2 draw against the New York Red Bulls II.

Cody Mizell - #CLTvTOR, 8/26/17: Mizell reacted well to turn aside a header by Toronto FC II’s Ben Spencer late in the first half of the Independence’s clash with Toronto.

Angelo Cavalluzzo - #CLTvTOR, 8/26/17: Cavalluzzo preserved a victory for TFC II with an outstanding double-save to keep out a deflected shot by the Charlotte Independence’s Enzo Martinez and follow-up by Lewis Hilton.
