Harrisburg’s game against Kickers this Saturday to air live

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Harrisburg City Islanders announced on Tuesday that their USL regular season contest against the Richmond Kickers on Saturday, July 15 will be broadcast live on ABC27.

ABC27’s Sports Director Gregg Mace will call the game live with Gary Sutton. Mace has covered the City Islanders since their inception in 2004 and has called play-by-play for soccer games on ESPN and Fox Soccer Channel.

ABC27 is one of the preeminent television stations in the region and has always shown dedication to local professional sports teams like the City Islanders throughout their broadcasting schedules.

The game will be seen on ABC27’s digital channel ABC27.3 and also on four different area cable systems (Comcast 245, Verizon 462, Blue Ridge 226 and Kuhn 69). ABC27 had previously televised Islanders games both live and on tape delay.

Harrisburg becomes the 19th USL market this season to offer live local television coverage this season through the creation of USL Productions, the league’s new broadcast initiative. Launched this season, the USL Television Network will reach more than 10 million households, and transmit more than 300 games during the 2017 USL season.
