OTTAWA – Ottawa Fury FC announced on Monday the club will host the Montreal Impact for an exhibition contest on Wednesday, July 12 at 7 p.m. ET as Major League Soccer returns to TD Place for the second time in the 2017 season. Tickets are on sale now at OttawaFuryFC.com starting at $15.

"We're extremely excited to face the Impact," said Fury FC GM and Head Coach Paul Dalglish. "The players are excited for this opportunity – our fans are going to be thrilled with this match – and I can't wait to experience the atmosphere at TD Place on July 12."

The Impact are currently in the midst of their sixth MLS season following a 2016 campaign that saw them reach the Eastern Conference Final of the 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs. Lead by Canadian captain Patrice Bernier, the Impact have reached the MLS Cup Playoffs twice, won the Canadian Championship in 2014 and became the second MLS club and first Canadian team to reach the CONCACAF Champions League Final in 2015.

"We are very happy to play this friendly match, which illustrates the partnership between both clubs," said Impact Technical Director Adam Braz. "We will have the chance to play in the Ottawa/Gatineau region for the first time since joining MLS, and we hope to see all our supporters from this region at the match."

The first time an MLS team came to TD Place, more than 9,000 fans witnessed Fury FC hand the Vancouver Whitecaps a 2-0 defeat in the first leg of the Canadian Championship Semifinals in 2016. Two weeks ago, Ottawa claimed another upset against MLS opposition in the Canadian Championship, this time scoring a 2-1 win against Toronto FC.

"This is going to be a special day for the supporters," said John Pugh, Fury FC President and OSEG Partner. "The Impact has some passionate fans, including the Ultras, 1642 MTL and 127 Montréal. We can't wait for Stony Monday Riot, The Bytown Boys, Fury Fanatics - all our fans - to show the Impact supporters the pulse of the soccer community in the nation's capital."
