LA Galaxy II news and notes

  • The Galaxy II suffered a 4-0 defeat against Orange County SC on Saturday night, extending their winless streak to five games since opening the season with a victory.

  • The current five-game winless streak matches the worst run in the Galaxy II’s history, when the side also went 0-4-1 between July 30 and August 27.

  • Los Dos rebounded from that dip in form by closing the season with a 3-1-2 record, which included a victory against the Monarchs in the final weekend of the season.

Real Monarchs SLC news and notes

  • The Monarchs had a bye this past week after taking a 2-1 victory against the Swope Park Rangers in their last outing at Rio Tinto Stadium on April 29.

  • Real has almost doubled its points total through six games from a season ago, when the side sat with a 2-2-2 record.

  • Chandler Hoffman has scored four goals this season, and now has 35 for his career in the USL. Hoffman was an All-League selection for the Galaxy II when he recorded 13 goals for the club in 2014.

  • Midfielder Charlie Adams has created a team-high 16 scoring chances this season, putting him fifth in the USL.
