USL Discipline Report – Week 2

TAMPA, Fla. – The following is the USL’s discipline report for Week 2 of the 2017 United Soccer League season:

LA Galaxy II midfielder Jaime Villarreal has been issued a three-game suspension for use of offensive and abusive language during an incident at Saturday’s game against San Antonio FC. Villarreal has also been issued an undisclosed fine. His suspension starts Saturday for LA’s road game against Phoenix Rising FC. 

Elsewhere, Ottawa Fury FC’s Shane McEleney, who was sent off during the side’s USL debut against Saint Louis FC this past weekend, will serve a one-game suspension on Saturday at the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ Gale Agbossoumonde was cautioned twice and subsequently sent off during the club’s home match against FC Cincinnati in Week 2. Agbossoumonde is suspended for one game, this Saturday’s road trip to the Charleston Battery.

Among suspensions carried over from the 2016 USL season, Charleston’s O’Brian Woodbine, Pittsburgh’s Danny Earls and Louisville City FC’s Sean Reynolds will serve the final game of their suspensions during their clubs’ respective Saturday matchups.
